Open since 2006, Gallery 9 presents a dynamic program of exhibitions by its represented and associated artists. The gallery’s program is unique for its placement of exhibitions by established artists alongside exhibitions by emerging and non-represented artists. The gallery represents artists from Australia, New Zealand and the USA. It is committed to nurturing the practices of its artists over the long-term, encouraging experimentation and artistic development in any direction.
With a broad focus on contemporary painting, the gallery also presents exhibitions in a variety of mediums including ceramics, sculpture, video, photography and installation. Gallery 9 has participated annually in art fairs including Sydney Contemporary and Melbourne Art Fair since their inception, as well as international fairs including Art Stage Singapore, Start Art Fair, London, and Auckland Art Fair.
Gallery 9 acknowledges the Gadigal of the Eora Nations, the traditional custodians of the Country on which Gallery 9 stands, and has never been ceded.
