Mason Saltarrelli (b.1979, New Orleans, Louisiana) navigates connections between existing and mortality by utilizing a collection of found narrative symbols. Painting and drawing intuitively—his expression articulates an experience of continuously woven motifs, inviting open-ended exploration from the viewer. Saltarrelli’s work transforms object, human, and animal beings into buoyant remembrances in an ever-evolving celebration of shape and color.
